Lotte Tour Development reported a rise in casino revenue at its Jeju Dream Tower property for June. The property posted revenue of KRW48.72 billion, or about $31.3 million, marking a 36.1% increase from June last year.
The company filed the figures with the Korea Exchange on Wednesday. The gain was driven mainly by improved table game performance and a rise in tourist arrivals.
Table Games Drive the Gain
Table game sales for June reached just above KRW47.20 billion. That figure was up 0.4% from May and 37.4% higher than June of last year.
The table game hold rate stood at 21.0% for the month. That was slightly lower than May’s 22.6%, but it was still well above the 15.7% hold rate recorded in June 2025.
June marked the second straight month that casino sales topped KRW40 billion. Sales did slip 1.4% from May’s total of KRW49.42 billion, which had been the strongest month of the first half of the year.
Casino table drop, which is the amount customers pay to buy chips, rose 2.5% year-over-year to about KRW224.59 billion. On a monthly basis, drop was up 8.2%.
Visitor Numbers and Hotel Sales
The casino welcomed 61,146 visitors in June. That was an 18.7% increase from a year earlier, though it was down 3.3% from May’s total of 63,192 guests.
May’s visitor count had been the highest since the property opened in June 2021. June’s numbers show that traffic stayed strong even after that peak.
Machine game sales told a different story. They came in at nearly KRW1.52 billion, down 37.3% from May but still up 5.7% from a year earlier.
The machine game hold rate fell to 3.7% for June. That was the lowest monthly rate recorded so far this year.
Hotel sales for June were just below KRW8.03 billion. That was up 17.6% from a year earlier and 7.2% higher than May.
Both gaming and hotel operations at the resort showed gains for the month. The property has now posted growth across most of its business lines in 2026.
For the first six months of the year, casino table drop reached KRW1.21 trillion. That figure was up 18.5% from the same period last year.
Total casino sales for the first half of 2026 came to almost KRW265.72 billion. That was a 36.6% increase from the same period a year ago.
Lotte Tour attributed the first-half gain to double-digit growth in both table games and gaming machines. Hotel sales for the first six months reached KRW40.92 billion, up 13.8% year-over-year.
The company did not comment on what drove the specific monthly changes. Brokerage Shinhan Securities has pointed to Lotte Tour as a company positioned to benefit from South Korea’s rebound in inbound tourism.
