Kalshi has launched perpetual futures trading for five more crypto assets. The new contracts cover BNB, Cardano, Worldcoin, AAVE and Venice Token.
The move expands the prediction market platform’s crypto trading lineup in the United States. Trading in the new contracts began this week.
New Perpetual Contracts Go Live
Kalshi added BNB, ADA, AAVE, WLD and VVV under a product line called American Perpetuals. The line offers CFTC-regulated perpetual futures contracts for US traders.
The exchange filed for approval of these contracts with the CFTC last week. Regulators cleared the products for trading soon after.
Leverage limits differ by asset. Traders can use up to 4.5x leverage on BNB and up to 1.9x on Venice Token.
Kalshi now lists perpetual futures on Bitcoin and 17 other crypto assets. That list includes Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Hyperliquid and Zcash.
The contracts do not have an expiration date. They settle in US dollars.
Kalshi recently added perpetual futures for Zcash, Near Protocol, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu. Contracts for Stellar, Polkadot and Hedera are still waiting on CFTC approval.
Legal Fight and Price Moves
The approvals come while CME Group fights the CFTC in court. CME has sued the agency and its chairman, Mike Selig.
CME argues that these perpetual contracts should be treated as swaps. The exchange says this changes how the products should be regulated.
This week, the CFTC filed a motion to dismiss the CME lawsuit. The agency says CME does not have standing to bring its competitive injury claims.
Prices for the newly listed assets moved higher after the launch. BNB price rose more than 5% to $729 before settling near $723.
Trading volume for BNB jumped 83% over the past 24 hours. The price gain came as the wider crypto market recovered.
ADA price climbed almost 10% to $0.222. The gain followed news that RealFi set an October 1 mainnet launch date.
Some price forecasts point to further upside for ADA, with a possible move to $0.28.
AAVE, WLD and VVV prices also rose after the launch. The gains came as the US Treasury completed a $12.5 billion debt buyback operation.
