Paradise Co, a South Korean casino operator, reported casino revenue of KRW86.7 billion, or US$64.5 million, for September. The result closed out a record third quarter for the company.
September revenue rose 38.2% compared with the same month last year. However, it fell short of the all-time monthly high the company set in August.
Paradise Co runs four casinos in South Korea. Its flagship property is Paradise City, a resort complex in Incheon.
Paradise Co September Revenue Slips From August Record
In August, Paradise Co reported casino revenue of KRW104.3 billion, or US$77.6 million. That was the highest monthly total in the company’s history.
September revenue was 16.8% lower than the August figure. The company recorded a lower drop amount and weaker table game revenue during the month.
Casino drop, which is the total amount of money players exchange for chips, reached KRW605.1 billion, or US$450 million, in September. That was 6.6% higher than in September last year.
Compared with August, the drop amount fell 11.1%. The decline showed up in the company’s table game results.
Table game revenue came in at KRW81.1 billion, or US$60.4 million, in September. This was 17.9% lower than the August total.
Gaming machine revenue moved in the other direction. It reached KRW5.65 billion, or US$4.20 million, up 12.6% from a year earlier and 3.2% from August.
Machine revenue still makes up a small share of the company’s total. Table games continue to bring in most of Paradise Co’s casino income.
Record Third Quarter for Paradise Co Casinos
For the third quarter of 2026, Paradise Co reported casino revenue of KRW268.2 billion, or US$200 million. That beat the company’s previous quarterly record of KRW247.5 billion, or US$184 million.
The company said improved hold helped drive the record quarter. Hold refers to the share of money wagered that a casino keeps as revenue.
The quarterly total included August’s record month and September’s KRW86.7 billion result. Both months added to the new high despite the drop between them.
For the first nine months of 2026, revenue across Paradise Co’s four casinos reached KRW744.6 billion, or US$554 million. That was 10.8% higher than the same period last year.
The casino drop amount for January through September rose 8.1% year-on-year. It reached KRW5.77 trillion, or US$4.29 billion.
The September figures mark the end of the strongest quarter in Paradise Co’s history. The company’s third quarter revenue of KRW268.2 billion now stands as its new quarterly record.
