Police said the operations targeted several forms of alleged unauthorized gambling. These included basketball ending, bookies, cara y cruz, and mahjong.
According to police reports, 6 operations took place in Cavite. Authorities carried out 1 operation in Laguna and 4 in Batangas.
Some of the operations also led to the recovery of suspected illegal drugs. Those arrested in these cases could face added charges.
Cavite Sees the Most Operations
In Cavite, police carried out operations in Bacoor, Silang, and Dasmariñas. The operations focused on different types of alleged illegal gambling.
Silang saw the most activity. Police ran 4 separate operations there involving alleged unauthorized ending activities, which led to the arrest of 4 suspects.
