The Philadelphia 76ers have signed a multi-year partnership with Kalshi, a prediction market company. The deal makes the 76ers the first NBA franchise to name an official partner in the prediction market sector, according to Yogonet.
The agreement was announced on 3 November 2026. It comes days after the NBA named Kalshi and Polymarket as the league’s preferred prediction market exchanges.
The 76ers deal moves prediction market firms from league-level agreements into team-level partnerships. Until now, their formal NBA ties had been with the league office.
Free Rides and Fan Perks in Philadelphia
One of the first parts of the deal is focused on getting fans home. Kalshi will pay for postgame SEPTA rides for fans attending the 76ers’ game against the New York Knicks on 3 November, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
SEPTA is the public transit system that serves Philadelphia and the surrounding area. The free rides are set for fans leaving the arena after the Knicks game.
The partnership will also bring fan engagement programs for 76ers supporters and Kalshi users. These include chances to win free merchandise and concessions.
Those programs will run through the team’s mobile app. Details on how the tools will roll out across the season were not included in the announcement.
Kalshi said the deal reflects its approach to working with sports leagues. “We’re excited to see the NBA engage directly in shaping this future. Safe, responsible innovation requires leagues, exchanges, and regulators to work together,” a Kalshi spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added that the partnership puts that collaboration into practice. Kalshi pointed to “official data, stronger integrity protections, and an open marketplace where fans set the prices.”
LeBron James Has His Own Polymarket Deal
The team deal follows a separate agreement signed by 76ers forward LeBron James earlier this fall. James partnered with Polymarket, the other exchange named in the NBA’s league-wide agreement.
James’s Polymarket deal has been reported as worth $15 million a year. He is currently playing under a two-year contract with the 76ers worth a total of $7.9 million.
Based on those reported figures, James’s yearly Polymarket deal is worth nearly twice the full value of his two-year playing contract. Neither James nor Polymarket has been reported to have confirmed the figure.
This means the 76ers now have ties to both prediction market firms named by the league. The team is partnered with Kalshi, while one of its players is partnered with Polymarket.
The NBA’s agreements with Kalshi and Polymarket are the league’s first direct partnerships with prediction market companies. Both deals are multi-year.
Under the agreements, the NBA will supply official league data for basketball sports event contracts. The deals also cover direct work on market integrity, consumer protection, and athlete safety.
The 76ers faced the New York Knicks at home on 3 November. That game was the first tied to Kalshi-funded SEPTA rides under the new partnership.
