Michael Graf, the younger brother of tennis star Steffi Graf, appears to be living in the flood-control tunnels under the Las Vegas Strip. He also faces an active arrest warrant in Nevada.
Court records show the 55-year-old missed a court hearing earlier this year. The case is tied to a misdemeanor charge.
In recent weeks, Graf has posted several videos and livestreams on Facebook. The footage appears to be recorded deep inside the tunnel system.
In the videos, he looks disheveled and speaks erratically to the camera. He walks past graffiti-covered walls that are familiar features of the tunnels.
Life Beneath the Las Vegas Strip
The drainage network was built in the 1970s. Its purpose was to carry flash flood water away from the Strip.
Over the years, the tunnels have become a shelter for people without homes. They offer protection from summer heat and from local rules that ban sleeping on city sidewalks.
Local outreach groups estimate that between 1,000 and 1,500 people live in the valley’s drainage network.
Before moving underground, Graf reportedly lived in a tent near Lake Mead. His social media posts support this, with videos recorded almost only around the lake until mid-2026.
Arrest and Missed Court Date
Graf’s social media activity increased after a misdemeanor trespassing charge led to court-ordered conditions.
On March 12, he was arrested for driving under the influence in Boulder City, near Lake Mead. The New York Post cited Nevada court records on the arrest.
Graf did not appear for a hearing on March 26. A bench warrant was then issued.
Much of his video footage is hard to understand because of poor audio. Still, Britain’s The Sun reported that one video touches on his relationship with his brother-in-law, Andre Agassi.
According to the outlet, Graf describes an odd physical encounter that involved “pinching” Agassi’s chest and doing “pirate moves.” These claims have not been independently confirmed.
Graf was born in Germany. He moved to Southern Nevada around 2001, about the same time Steffi Graf and Agassi made Las Vegas their main home.
His sister is one of the most decorated champions in tennis history. Michael, however, has mostly lived away from public attention.
A search of major photo archives shows almost no recent images of him. Most are decades-old photos of a young Michael watching his sister play from the stands.
As of this week, the bench warrant from the missed March hearing remains active, and Graf continues to post videos from the tunnels.
