William Hill US is seeking to open three new sportsbooks in rural Nevada through its growing partnership with Terrible’s. The Nevada Gaming Control Board considered the applications on Wednesday.
The requests are for non-restricted gaming licences for the Caesars Entertainment subsidiary. If granted, the new locations would bring William Hill’s total number of betting outlets in Nevada to 110.
All three proposed sportsbooks are at Terrible’s properties far from the Las Vegas Strip. They are Terrible’s in Indian Springs, Terrible’s in Carlin, and Terrible’s Searchlight Casino in Searchlight.
Indian Springs and Searchlight are small communities in Clark County. Carlin is in Elko County in northeastern Nevada.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported details of the applications. In Nevada, the Gaming Control Board reviews licence applications before they go to the Nevada Gaming Commission for a final decision.
A Push Into Smaller Nevada Towns
William Hill US shared an update about its plans in a post on LinkedIn. The company said it continues “to invest in growth, partnerships and the customer experience across the state of Nevada.”
The company listed several milestones from this year. These included the relaunch of its sportsbooks at Primm Valley Casino Resorts and Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino.
It also pointed to its continued expansion with Terrible’s. The statement mentioned new kiosk locations serving communities in Indian Springs, Carlin and Searchlight.
William Hill said its growth “extends far beyond Las Vegas.” The company said it serves customers at destination resorts, neighbourhood casinos and rural Nevada communities.
“William Hill remains committed to delivering a best-in-class sports betting experience wherever Nevada sports fans choose to play,” the company said.
The sportsbook operator also highlighted its current promotions for bettors. These include the Million Dollar Cash Parlay Giveaway and the William Hill Cash Rewards program.
The company said these programs are rewarding players throughout the fall season. Both promotions are running in Nevada alongside the current sports schedule.
The Primm Valley Rescue Deal
The partnership between William Hill and Terrible’s has grown in recent months. Terrible’s recently took over operations at Primm Valley Casino Resorts and Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino.
The takeover came through a rescue deal with Affinity Interactive, the previous operator. The properties had been set to close in July.
Primm sits on the Nevada and California border along Interstate 15. After Terrible’s stepped in, William Hill relaunched its sportsbooks at both properties this year.
The three new licence applications came before the Nevada Gaming Control Board on Wednesday, November 4. If approved, the added sites would lift William Hill’s Nevada network to 110 betting outlets.
