Esportes da Sorte Group has acquired Apostou.com. The company operates BETBR Loterias, a betting brand licensed by Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting.
Apostou.com has a strong presence in the state of Paraná. It also runs physical betting locations in the region.
The deal includes two other brands owned by Apostou.com. These are B1BET and BRBET.
This purchase adds to Esportes da Sorte’s reach in Brazil. Brazil is currently the fifth-largest betting market in the world.
Brazil’s Betting Market Growth
Brazil’s regulated betting industry generated close to BRL6 billion, or $1.2 billion, in revenue during the first five months of 2026.
That revenue comes from a 12% tax on operators’ gross gaming revenue. Corporate taxes also apply, including IRPJ, CSLL, PIS and Cofins.
These costs have pushed larger operators to look at buying smaller brands. Mergers and acquisitions have become common across the sector.
Esportes da Sorte Group also owns two other brands, Lottu and Onabet. The group has been building its portfolio over the past two years.
In 2024, the group acquired a company called ST Soft. That company owned a separate brand also named Apostou, which had been licensed by Loterj since 2023.
Group’s Position and Rankings
Esportes Gaming Brasil, the parent company, has held a national betting license since 2025. That license comes from Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting.
Two of the group’s three brands now rank in Brazil’s top ten operators. Data from Blask for the first quarter of 2026 shows Esportes da Sorte in sixth place.
Onabet ranks tenth on the same list. Betano holds the top spot, followed by Bet365.
Before receiving its national license, the group relied on ST Soft’s Loterj license to operate. Loterj’s servers are based in Rio de Janeiro, which allowed brands with that license to work nationwide.
The current acquisition is under review by Brazil’s Administrative Council for Economic Defense, known as CADE. The deal is listed under Public Notice No. 464 and is being handled by HS Gaming Participações, a subsidiary of Esportes Gaming Brasil.
Other operators have made similar moves in Brazil. Flutter Entertainment recently acquired a controlling stake in Betnacional, which ranks seventh on Blask’s list. Flutter already runs the Betfair brand in the country.
ANA Gaming, which owns the 7K, Cassino and Vera brands, has also been active. The company recently completed its acquisition of Aposta Tudo.
Before that deal, ANA Gaming had already acquired Donald Bet and Ponto Bet. These moves show the pace of consolidation continuing across Brazil’s betting sector.
