Hoiana Resort & Golf, a casino resort in Vietnam, plans to open an office in Singapore. The move is part of an effort to find more business opportunities across Southeast Asia.
The resort shared the plan in a press release on Friday. The release followed a Meet Hoiana event held in Singapore on October 20.
More than 100 guests attended the event, according to the resort. They came from the media, lifestyle, banking, aviation, travel, and golf sectors.
Singapore Office Part of Regional Plan
Chief executive Alan Teo said Hoiana wants to become a leading regional destination for entertainment, leisure, and MICE. MICE stands for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions.
Teo also said the goal is to make the property a must-visit destination in Southeast Asia. He described Singapore as an important part of that effort.
At the event, Teo said he wants to build lasting relationships with the city’s business and travel communities. The planned office would give the resort a closer link to those partners.
According to Hoiana, that link would help support continued growth as it works to establish itself as a holiday destination. The office would also help the resort work with travel trade partners.
The resort’s plans go beyond its casino. Teo’s presentation placed entertainment, business events, and leisure within the same long-term vision.
198 Beachside Villas Planned for Second Phase
The Singapore event also gave new details about Hoiana’s next phase of development. The resort revealed plans for 198 beachside villas.
The villas are part of the resort’s second phase. The property’s promoter had earlier told GGRAsia that this phase would also include more than 1,000 five-star hotel rooms.
Both the villas and the extra hotel rooms are planned additions. They are not part of the resort’s current rooms.
Teo said the company remains committed to building a distinctive integrated destination on Vietnam’s central coast. He named hospitality, unique visitor experiences, and careful planning as central to the property’s growth.
Hoiana currently runs four hotels. They are Hoiana Hotel & Suites, New World Hoiana Beach Resort, New World Hoiana Hotel, and Hoiana Residences.
The complex also includes the Hoiana Shores Golf Club and casino gaming facilities. It offers other non-gaming amenities as well.
The mix of guests at the Singapore event reflected the range of partners the resort is trying to reach. Delegates from banking, aviation, and golf attended alongside travel, media, and lifestyle representatives.
The office plan and the villa update were presented together in Friday’s release. The resort has not confirmed that the Singapore office is already opening.
