Entain is searching for a new UK Chief Marketing Officer. Charlotte Emery has stepped down from the role after two years in the job.
The company said Emery’s exit was on mutually agreed terms. An executive search for her replacement has already begun.
The role covers marketing strategy, media investment and brand development. It spans four major gambling brands in Britain.
Those brands are Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala and Foxy Bingo. Whoever takes the job will oversee marketing across all four.
Marketing Changes During Emery’s Tenure
Emery’s departure follows several changes inside Entain’s UK marketing setup. Some of these shifts started back in 2025.
Ladbrokes picked Atomic London as its lead creative agency that year. The decision followed a competitive review process among agencies.
Entain later changed how it buys media across the UK and Ireland. The account, worth close to £90 million, moved to PHD, part of Omnicom Media Group.
That switch ended a long-standing relationship with the7stars. It covered all four of Entain’s core UK brands.
These moves were part of a wider push to refresh how Entain’s brands compete in Britain. The company has not said whether the next marketing chief will keep the current agency setup or change it again.
Entain thanked Emery for her work leading the marketing team through restructuring and brand development. It wished her well for what comes next.
Leadership Search Comes During Cost Cuts
The vacancy opens as Entain continues a broader efficiency drive. Chief Executive Stella David is overseeing that effort.
Entain recently confirmed plans to cut around 500 jobs worldwide. The cuts are part of a review of operating costs across the business.
No redundancies have been announced inside the UK marketing team specifically. The company says it is still reviewing its domestic strategy and how it funds its core brands.
That review sits inside a transformation program that runs into 2026. It comes as the UK gambling industry faces changing tax and regulatory rules.
One of those changes is the new 40% Remote Gambling Duty. Entain has linked its long-term UK plans to this shift in the tax regime.
The next marketing chief will play a part in preparing Ladbrokes and Coral for this new phase. A timetable for naming Emery’s successor has not been shared by the company.
