Genius Sports has signed separate deals with Kalshi and Polymarket, two prediction market platforms. Both agreements came this week, just before the company’s second quarter earnings report.
Genius Sports supplies data and technology to sports leagues and betting platforms. The new deals give both exchanges official data used to settle sports contracts.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Both deals put a heavy focus on soccer.
Kalshi Deal Focuses on Official Soccer Data
Under the Kalshi deal, Genius Sports will provide real time data across its full soccer portfolio. This covers the English Premier League, Serie A, Liga MX, Argentina’s Primera División, and France’s Ligue 1.
Kalshi will use this data as the official source to settle its sports contracts. The goal is to reduce reliance on unofficial or delayed information.
Kalshi will also join Genius Sports’ integrity system. This includes limits on certain market types and more visibility into related trading activity.
Genius Sports will also support Kalshi through marketing and media services tied to its Legend owned properties.
Kalshi Head of Sports Partnerships Adam Barrick said official data and integrity services matter more as the prediction market space grows.
The deal builds on past work. In June, Genius Sports agreed to supply data for Kalshi’s partnership with the Argentine Football Association during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Polymarket Deal Adds Live Streaming
The Polymarket deal shares some features with the Kalshi agreement, but goes further. Along with data and integrity services, Polymarket gets live streaming rights and league intellectual property for select competitions.
The deal names Italian Serie A specifically, where Polymarket is the exclusive U.S. partner. Eligible U.S. users can watch certain matches while trading related event contracts in real time.
Like Kalshi, Polymarket will use Genius Sports data to settle its covered markets. It will also join the integrity information sharing system.
Polymarket President of Sports Business Development Ari Borod said live streaming, data, and integrity infrastructure help build trust with customers.
Polymarket already has sports partnerships with MLB, Liga MX, the Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A, MLS, the NHL, the ATP Tour, and the UFC.
Genius Sports previously supported Polymarket’s U.S. deal with Liga MX through similar data and integrity services.
The soccer focus follows a surge in trading tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Kalshi recorded about 27 billion dollars in trading volume and around 3 million users during the event.
Those totals were roughly double the company’s early estimates of 13 billion dollars in volume and 1.5 million users.
Macquarie Equity Research said prediction markets generated more than 50 billion dollars in trading volume in June alone. Kalshi made up about two thirds of that total.
H2 Gambling Capital said prediction market activity equaled about 27 percent of legal U.S. sports betting volume during the World Cup, up from 9 percent at the start of 2026.
Genius Sports is not alone in this market. Sportradar signed a multi year global deal with Kalshi in June covering data, live odds, integrity monitoring, and fan engagement.
That Sportradar deal includes content from MLB, the NHL, MLS, and UFC. Sportradar can also strike separate deals with brokers inside Kalshi’s ecosystem.
Polymarket has its own Sportradar powered deal too, after becoming the ATP Tour’s official prediction market provider earlier this month.
During its second quarter earnings call, Sportradar executives said prediction markets should bring in tens of millions of euros in 2026, with a bigger contribution expected in 2027.
