Pennsylvania’s gambling industry reported total revenue of just over $7 billion for fiscal year 2025/26. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board released the figures this week, marking a record high for the state.
Revenue came from six main sources. These include slot machines, table games, iGaming, sports wagering, video gaming terminals, and fantasy contests.
Combined gross revenue reached $7,005,987,435 for the year. Tax and fee returns to the state also set a record during the same period.
The state collected $3,098,193,583 in taxes and fees from gambling activity. That money supports property tax relief, local development projects, horse racing programs, and the state’s general fund.
Online Gambling Overtakes Casino Floors
For the first time, online gambling brought in more money than traditional casino floors across Pennsylvania. iGaming revenue reached $2.93 billion, a jump of 18.42% compared to the year before.
Tax money collected from online play totaled $1.33 billion. That figure shows how large a role online betting now plays in the state’s overall finances.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course led all operators in iGaming revenue, bringing in $1.13 billion. Valley Forge Casino Resort followed with $811.7 million in online revenue.
Other casinos also saw gains during the year. Rivers Casino Philadelphia, Harrah’s Philadelphia, and Golden Nugget all posted increases in online betting revenue.
Some casinos moved in the opposite direction. Live! Philadelphia and Mount Airy both saw their revenue drop compared to the previous year.
Sports Betting Sets New Records
Sports betting revenue climbed to $662.9 million across the state. That marks a 35.95% increase from last year, even though the total amount wagered actually fell.
Valley Forge Casino Resort led all sports betting operators with $272.5 million in revenue. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows nearly doubled its total, reaching $189.9 million.
Hollywood Casino York posted the largest jump in the category. Its sports betting revenue rose more than 280%, climbing to $41.6 million for the year.
Presque Isle Downs also grew quickly during the period. Its revenue moved from under $2 million to $22.6 million.
Tax revenue collected from sports betting reached $238.6 million. That total set another record for the state.
Retail slot machines brought in $2.44 billion for the year. That figure stayed close to the total from the previous fiscal year.
Parx Casino remained the top slot machine earner with $375.1 million, though its revenue slipped slightly. Wind Creek Bethlehem and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh also saw small declines.
Table games revenue fell 2.15% to $908.9 million across the state. Wind Creek Bethlehem led this category with $239.9 million in revenue.
Video gaming terminals at truck stops brought in $41.6 million for the year. That is a small increase, with 75 locations now operating statewide.
Fantasy sports contests brought in $18 million, down nearly 6% from last year. DraftKings and FanDuel remained the top operators in that category, though both reported lower revenue than the year before.
