TLDR
- Playtech subsidiary VSTechnology Limited has been added to the UAE’s GCGRA vendor register.
- The register now lists 23 approved gaming-related suppliers.
- The GCGRA has not released the license number or issue date for the new entry.
- Wynn Al Marjan remains the UAE’s only listed land-based gaming facility.
- The operator side of the market stays small even as vendor listings grow.
Playtech subsidiary VSTechnology Limited has joined the United Arab Emirates’ public gaming vendor register. The listing was confirmed by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, known as the GCGRA.
The addition brings the total number of vendors on the register to 23. VSTechnology now sits alongside other international suppliers already approved to work in the UAE.
The GCGRA has not shared when the license was issued. It also has not released the license number or which products the license covers.
Only businesses holding a valid license can offer commercial gaming products or services in the UAE. That rule applies to every company on the vendor list.
New Listing Details
The register connects VSTechnology Limited to Playtech’s corporate website. Playtech’s own filings describe the company as a wholly owned UK subsidiary.
The subsidiary is involved in licensing online gaming software and games. Playtech gained the business through its 2009 purchase of Gaming Technology Solutions.
That deal also brought Playtech ownership of VS Gaming. Both companies had been part of the same corporate group before the acquisition.
This new vendor entry adds another data point to the UAE’s growing gaming framework. Regulators in the country have been building out this public list over time.
Vendor List Keeps Growing
The GCGRA’s register already includes several familiar names in the gaming industry. These include Aristocrat Technologies, Novomatic, Scientific Games, LNW Gaming, Konami Gaming, and International Game Technology.
Other companies on the list include Cammegh, which makes gaming table equipment. Online casino content developer Endorphina also appears on the register.
The GCGRA operates as an independent federal authority. It holds exclusive control over regulating, licensing, and supervising gaming activity across the UAE.
Its public register works as the main source for tracking approved operators and vendors. Anyone checking a company’s status in the UAE gaming market would look here first.
The operator side of the register looks different from the vendor side. Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC, which operates as Wynn Al Marjan, is the only listed land-based gaming facility.
The Game LLC runs the UAE Lottery under its own license. Coin Technology Projects LLC appears under both the internet gaming and sports wagering categories.
No other companies currently hold licenses in those four operator categories. That means the operator list has stayed flat while supplier names keep getting added.
This latest update follows that same pattern. A new vendor joined the register, but the operator side did not change.
VSTechnology’s listing gives Playtech a documented presence in the UAE gaming vendor system. The company’s history and licensing links place it among the other approved international suppliers.
With 23 vendors now on record and just a handful of operator licenses in place, the register shows a market that is still developing. The GCGRA has not provided further comment on the scope of VSTechnology’s license.
